I have a 2016 CX 3 that has barely over 9000 miles. the warranty just expired on it last week. My infotainment system will not work. I went to the dealer thinking it probably needs to be rebooted. He claims the CMU needs to be replaced. I told him the car is barely 3 years old and hardly any wear and tear - 9050 miles. He claims he has seen 2019 vehicles where the CMU has gone bad. He said he would check with corporate to see if they will pick up any of the cost since it is just out of warranty. Well I was told I would be on the hook for $483. Mazda is supposedly picking up 3/4. I was told the system costs over $2100usd by my dealer. Is this right? This is going to cost over $2000 if it goes bad again.
