So I decided to buy a Blackvue DRW650 2 channel Dash Cam and while the front installation is pretty straight forward I am not too sure how to tackle the CX3 lift gate.
I have managed to hide the wire behind the trim all the way to the rubber seal at the back (left hand corner of picture) For a more professional install look I want to now fish the wire through one those rubber grommets for the brake light but I don't know how to remove the tail gate trim without breaking it. I noticed there is 4 clips on each side of the tail gate but I am not sure what is holding it in place in the middle after prying those open and I don't want to force in fear it will just break off?
I also noticed the interior roof trim at the back has these small round plastic fasteners (4th picture) Is there a screw under these if I pry them open or should I just leave them alone?
Has anyone else installed a rear dash cam on a CX-3 with any information on how to tackle this such as removing trim and best location for camera?
