First winter in my 2018. Mid-west Canada, we will get at least 2 or 3 weeks of -30C. Maybe even -40. I don't know what that is in American but unless you're from Alaska or Montana... Anyways, every car I've ever owned needed cardboard in front of the radiator or the engine just won't heat up enough to warm the heater core. Has any one had to resort to this in their CX3?

-40C = -40F, that one is easy.
I've never needed to place anything in front of the rad in any vehicle I've owned. Mind you I live in the sunny southwestern Ontario region where the temps usually go no lower than about -25C, or -31.6F for our American neighbours.
