Hi All,

I have the 2016 CX-3 Sport and I want to install the brand new Falken WILDPEAK A/T TRAIL tires.

OE tire size is 215/60R16 (OD = 26.1"). Closest tire size offered by Falken would be the 225/55R17 (OD = 26.8"), so I'll have to get new wheels as well.

Has anyone tried this swap yet? I think it should work, just want to make sure my tires wouldn't rub before I buy new wheels and tires.

Thanks much!

Update:

Wheels and tires are mounted. Super happy how it turned out. They look great and the ride feels really good.

Wheels: Motegi MR118 - 17x8 (Part #MR11878012745 )
Tires: Falken WILDPEAK A/T TRAIL - 225/55R17 (Part #28712762 )

Not bad at all. Maybe slightly louder but the ride is smooth. I feel much more planted to the ground. Thinking I'll sacrifice a couple mpg (probably going from 30 to 28), but the tires are severe snow rated so going to be worth the compromise when winter comes along.

I'll be getting the 225/55R18 on stock wheels when the time comes. At least two people are running 225/55R18s, I've seen Pirellis and Yoko Geolandars.

After seeing how much room I have after upgrading to 225/55/17's, I'm pretty confident I could've pulled that off too. But I really like the look of this wheel/tire combo so I'm really happy with it. Let me know what tire you end up going with. The A/T Trail comes in that size too.

so then for those with newer model that uses tpms,
can you buy non oem tpms and have a tire shop program the unit.
