Thanks for asking TnT. I see you too have gravitated from Honda to Mazda. These Are the ones I'm willing to admit to.
1960 Corvair
1960 Austin-Healey 3000 powered by ford 289
1973 civic hatch (first year for Civic)
1973 Triumph TR6
1979 Ford Fiesta
1986 Honda CRX SI
1988 Honda CRX SI
1991 Nissan Sentra SER
2000 Mazda Protege ES
2006 Mazda 3 2.3

Currently owned
2013 Ford Focus
2014 Mazda CX-5

All were bought new except for the Corvair, Healey,Triumph,Fiesta. The Fiesta and CRXs' are the only ones I want back. Magnificent manual steered r&p handling. All cars are too heavy for that these days.

That's quite the collection of vehicles that you've owned. I am left wondering what vehicles you aren't willing to admit to.

I have been around a while.
I never buy expensive cars.
I never hold them till I don't want them. No one else will either. I just trade for something I want more.

I Usually keep them for 2 to 5 yrs and have 2 at a time. I have a 2 car garage and make sure its used as intended. I evaluate every parking space for ding potential. No mustard whoppers or smoking allowed. I always have slick trade ins.
Of course it costs more than buying a car and driving it into the ground but maybe not so much as you might think. Its so much more pleasant to have a shiny car you can look forward to driving every day, especially if the driving experience is important to you. Most brands are improving with each new model introduced. Love cars, always on the lookout for something new that is fun and practical. A new car is a kind of high obtainable without drugs.

I've only owned a few vehicles:

1994 Plymouth Sundance
2003 Pontiac Vibe
2009 Pontiac Vibe GT

The Vibes turned me into a hatchback guy, particularly the higher-riding kind that a lot of these small CUVs fall into.

Let's see if I can remember them all..

79 Chevy Caprice...learned to drive on this..
96 Honda Accord Ex..VTECH
01 Pontiac Grand Am
04 Ford Explorer..First lease vehicle
06 Toyota Corolla..Still going strong with 165,000 mile on it...my daily commute car.
08 Ford Escape..The Wife took this over...this is HER little truck.

And hopefully I will be getting rid of the Toyota for the CX3.:D

The CX-3 replaced my 2005 Scion tC, which was super reliable, zero mechanical issues for its age/miles, but was severely totaled.

Our new CX3 GT AWD is replacing my wife's 2001 Nissan Maxima with 140k miles on its clock. I replaced my 2005 Mazda RX-8 with a 2010 Prius. Ya, I know, I know, but the Prius fell into my lap and it was about time to move on from the RX-8. Fun car to drive, but not the best commuter car. 50 mpg is a lot better than 18 mpg for commuting. My wife's Maxima was getting about 16mpg. The CX3 is a nice change for that too.

Well...I'm 46 years old and have had cars since 15 years old. Some cars I had for a very, very short time, others a little longer.

I'm an auto-enthusiast and loves all makes and models. My cousin owns West Coast Classics in Florida and restores old muscle cars, mostly, but dabbles in newer cars as well. Been around people who love cars all my life. With that said, here's my list based off of what I can remember and the order of sequence is pretty close.

'67 Volkswagen Squareback. - 4 speed
'77 Buick Century coupe with a transplanted big block 455. I bought the car this way.
'79 Toyota Celica GT - 5 speed
'83 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme v6
'85 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme v8
'87 Mercury Topaz - worst car ever
'79 Fiat Spider 2000 - 5 speed. fun little car
'83 Toyota Supra - 5 speed
'89 Toyota Supra Turbo Targa
'94 Mitsubishi Galant
'89 Honda Prelude - 5 speed
'98 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Coupe. This car was supercharged and slightly modified
'94 Acura Legend Coupe
'99 BMW 740iL
'04 Mazda 3
'06 VW Passat
'13 Dodge Challenger RT (Hemi Orange) with some mods. Damn I miss this car.
'13 Honda Accord Coupe V6
'14 VW Passat - Current car
'16 Mazda CX3 - Wifes car

1972 Olds Cutlass Supreme (Steering radius of a cruiseliner, but so fast!)
1978 Oldsmobile Starfire (worst piece of crap car EVER!!!)
1988 Honda CRX
1995 Eagle Talon TSi AWD (Started drag racing it and then moved on to autocrossing with it)
2001 Mazda Miata (Bought it for autocrossing)

Cars I currently have:

The 1988 Honda CRX that I bought new in 1988!! It has 294,000 miles on it and still gets almost 40 mpg after 27 years! It's my commute car.

2016 Mazda CX-3 GT AWD

My CX-3 is only the second new car I've owned since I bought the CRX in '88. I take good care of my toys though, so unless Mazda blows me away with a manual transmission CX-3 next year, I will be driving it for a long time.

I won't bore you with my list of cars - it looks like the Hong Kong phone book. Suffice to say it's been nearly all Jap stuff since the early 90s. I had quite a few Minis in the 70 - what a nightmare.

Good topic this ;-).
