Tire rack lists the Vredestein Quatra 5 as th highest rated tire, including snow traction...has anyone tried them ?

I don't see anyone mentioning them, the Pirelli P7 is way behind on ratings.

I'd go with the tirerack.com reviews. The BF Goodrich Advantage received a higher rating in only one category, wear. In all other categories the Quatrac 5 had the highest ratings of all the "Grand Touring All Season" tires.

The BF Goodrich does have a higher UTOG (however, this might be somewhat suspicious as manufacturers assign their own ratings).

The Vredesteins are amongst the highest rated tyres in Europe. Very quiet and perform well.
