Purchased "pre-owned" a year ago. Came with Bridgestone tires in good shape, did well last Winter in Western MA. We didn't get a lot of snow but
very cold weather. I'm feeling some "quiet" but good Winter tires/all season radials would serve me well. What do people who own 2019 CX_3 sport
models suggest?
Frankly, I find the car noisier than other cars I have owned. Not rattles or clanks or engine noise, just not the quietest interior. Driving maybe not quite
10K miles a year, retired, don't need the longest lasting tires on the road.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I currently have Michelin X-Ice winter tires on my CX-3. These are 17" tires on aftermarket aluminium spoked wheels that I change back and forth with the 18" Yokohama summer tires that came on the car. I find the winter tires to be only slightly louder that the summer (all season) stock tires.

A lot of road noise comes into the interior regardless of what tires are mounted. I hear a fair amount of wind noise as well, probably due to a combination of the sunroof and roof rails / crossbars on mine. The CX-3 is not the quietest car out there. That is the domain of luxury models and that's definitely not what this car is trying to be. However, it is a great looking vehicle that is fun to drive in winter conditions and gets good mileage and that's why I bought mine.

Generally softer tires (low mileage life) are comfortable and quieter, converser is true for harder.
thinner sidewall = better cornering, but less bump absorption, so wider side wall = more comfort.

I don't deal with snow. Occasionally icy roads, water (almost flooding) and terrible road surfaces (potholes etc).
I can vouch for:
Bridgestone Ecopia 220 (may be discontinued now)so next improved version, only got 60 000Km from them.
Michelin Primacy 4+, new tyres fitted in December, but so far the quietest and smoothest, feels like I'm driving a boat....

Bought the car with Dunlops - terrible, side wall damage to 2 tyres, made me change to the Bridgestone's.
FYI this is for the 195/60 R16.
