2016 Australian delivered CX3 Neo auto, been a great little car, recently, first thing in the morning when wife goes to start it: 1: cannot depress brake as usual, hard peddle. 2: presses start button, no start, flashes green not a solid green light. She then has to get out of the car, walk to the rear point the FOB & lock & unlock the car (cannot do this from within the car) and then all is good & car operates as normal for the rest of the day. Garage it overnight, same deal next morning!? This has not always been the case, only in recent weeks! Any suggestions? Cheers Jacko.

If the pedal is hard, the vacuum is leaking from the brake servo. It should be easy enough to find where it’s going.

Regarding the non start, she shouldn’t need to leave the car, just open and shut the car door and do the same thing inside. I think I’d turn everything off, shut the door then disconnected the battery earth terminal for a few minutes and see if it re syncs it.

Take heed, for when the Anchorman speaks, the CX-3 listens ... especially the brakes.

Thanks Anchorman I will check the brake servo for leaks, when I think about it the "hard pedal" has been occurring occassionally from time to time since purchase but I never thought it an issue but more "operator error" but you might be on to something there. Oddly enough when "she who shall be obeyed" used the car this morning it started with no issues perhaps further confirming a possible occassional vacuum leak? I will now monitor over the next few days with your suggestions in mind. Thankyou for your interest. Jacko
