I read that some models (G.B.) substitute a Subwoofer and an on board compressor for the spare tire. If true, I would expect it to be the Bose equipped models.
Are GTs then spareless?

"The Sport Nav version comes with a ding-dong Bose sound system. And if you get a puncture in this car and lift the boot floor, you’ll find a subwoofer in the space where a spare wheel would go and a foam and compressor kit for fixing the puncture".

Sorry, No mine just has the regular. I believe it only comes in the GT package.

The Bose subwoofer is designed to fit inside the rim of a spare wheel. All UK models come without a spare but I have ordered one along with the car.

First time i'm seeing this and that is a smart way to package them all in one although I can imagine that some folks could not care much for a spare and the sub... preferring the small gains in fuel economy instead.

They’ll change their minds when they get a puncture!
