I was hoping for a PDF to save to my phone.

One thing I miss about owning a Hyundai is that the service manual was free.

Yes, I go on from time to time. They are laid out like the manual is but there are also live links to other pages. Its very good but if you are a piston head you can spend hours on it. The price to view is for one hour but it lets you brows for ages.

There is an inconvenient workaround, but it seems to work.

- If I Google search "am.mazdaserviceinfo", I get the login page for the manual (doesn't help me)
- If I Google "am.mazdaserviceinfo wiring diagram", I get links to the individual pages in the site - with no login. BUT no info is displayed (still doesn't help)
- If I go the the Google options banner and select "Images", I get links to pictures of what I need. If I click on an image then click "Visit Page", I get the page without the login

Problem is I can't use the "Previous" or "Next" link, but I still have the info. To move through pages, I have to do a re-search or manually change the number at the end of the webpage address

I take off the print stuff at the end: http://am.mazdaserviceinfo.com/mazdaesi/index?page=detail_pagelet&id=SM168109

A Master Service Manual index would be nice...

P.S. Having worked for Boeing, seeing the effort that was put into manuals, I shudder to think about the amount of effort the auto manufacturers put into documentation, brochure, owner's manuals, service manuals, satisfaction of the various governments' regs, etc., etc.

Even so, limited access to the service manuals still has a measure of value. As a sparkchaser, I look mostly for the wiring diagrams, and the general assembly/disassembly doesn't hurt, either.

I'm also looking for the CX-3 workshop/service manual. The link posted earlier in this thread is dead.

This might be a dumb question, but I just want to make sure. Regarding the official Mazda download site, in the quote above it says "The price to VIEW is for one hour...". Surely the manuals aren't view only though... they can be downloaded too can't they? I wouldn't bother unless it could be downloaded.

I think they can but they are extremely expensive. You could also go to a dealer and order a disc version.

That's certainly possible if I was just looking for a few pages about a specific topic, but in my case it's not practical as I was hoping to find the complete manual to have on hand for whatever may come up in the future.
Given the owner's manual is almost 600 pages, the workshop manual must be enormous. Certainly too many pages to take screen shots of.

I'll try anchorman's suggestion and see if the dealer sells them on disc. If not, hopefully it will get posted online eventually.
