So it completely blocks the cupholders? No wonder it's optional.

Although I don't know if it's just the camera or what, but the cargo area doesn't look as small as what other reviews indicate:

I think there's a sort of fish-eye lens effect going on that's making it look deeper than it actually is.

I think there's a sort of fish-eye lens effect going on that's making it look deeper than it actually is.
The armrest Is foldable, so out of the way when you are actively using the cup holder.

Sucks for Mazda, they really had no where else to put cup holders and we all know how important they are for a vehicle like this in the american market.

7/11 big gulpers might have a problem.
