It is possible to do all the work yourself if willing to follow religiously the necessary firmware upgrade steps plus taking apart a fair section of the central console and the infotainment screen removal and refitting in order to replace the hub unit.

No problems there :) I have been looking into it a lot and have found the unit online but couldn’t find the updates. I’m a computer tech so I have some confidence working with it and have already opened the centre console to fix some stuff as well

Dear @ASH8,

I am in possession of a CX5 2015, with the actual software version 56.00.513 EU N. Would you be able to share with me the needed files to make the update to a Carplay capable system (i will install the hardware afterwards).

Looking for any of the EU N 74.00.3XX firmware update files, I would like to send a private message to our savior ASH8 and therefore must first write a post or maybe two here. Thanks a million for your many years of service to the entire Mazda community!

... in case any other friendly stranger from the internet reads this and wants to help me and thus also relieves ASH8, I would of course also be super grateful!

I got a new to me (2017) CX-5 this weekend and would like to update the infotainment unit with the latest firmware. Is this something you'd be able to help me with please? I don't yet meet the minimum requirements to send you a direct message.
The version I have installed is 59.00.449 4A N.

Thanks to @ASH8 for running this forum - you're helping out countless Mazda owners.

I've downloaded 'cmu150_NA_74.00.324A_update.up' and related files.

My hash values for the .up file are as follows, both of which check as verified / valid against the values in the supplied .txt file:
MD5: 49C7C7A834CA40CBBBB68F29EE696475
SHA-1: 975935BD09E9EA90CFEC22AE87D66B310A2242E3

Here's my question: Is this 'cmu150_NA_74.00.324A_update.up' FW update applicable to my 2017 CX-9 GT? Are there any issues updating the 2017 CX-9 GT (assuming I follow the proper steps)?

BTW, I've already upgraded the FW from 70.00.100A to 70.00.335C, so I'm pretty confident I can properly follow the steps / instructions.

Hallo, looking to update the firmware in my 2018 Mazda CX-5. Currently on version 59.00.545 EU N and I need to update to 70.00.100 EU N first to update to 74.00.324 EU N. Can somebody please share to me these files?
