This must have been previously covered ...

What am I missing? I had the negative lead of my battery disconnected for one week. Door locks, trunk latch, interior lights, etc. were inoperative. Upon reconnection, no setting were lost … radio, walk-away-lock, drivers window, etc.

I did find this on p. 297 of the pdf version of my Owner’s Manual:

NOTE
If the battery is disconnected, your Favorites list will be not deleted


My Question: How were these settings maintained? Internal firmware. The Cloud? Magic?

Maybe the MZD Connect has flash memory installed to store these settings.
Thank you for the reply. It has to be something like that ... not having RTFM, I had dropped-off the missus for shopping and was all-prepared to re-enter all my stations and settings. However ...

Yeah, it has to be something like flash memory, as the cars aren't online (yet).
But at least it's a bit more convenient than the "old" type radios ;-)
