I was curious if anyone has tried to install the lights in the link below. I thought they looked pretty nice, but wasn’t sure how to install them. Any help is appreciated.

I just ordered a set of these LED bumper lights, how hard was the install? what did you wire them into?

any help would be great.

So what is the install process ?

How do you remove existing reflector and replace the light. ?
Do they remove from behind or much dismantling of parts ?


EDIT: looked today in daylight , appears to be easy access

and the wiring , splice it in ?


Any info would be good , I am considering buying a set

The only thing I see here is the Anchorman's foglights.

I don't see anything specific to the CX-3, but a youtube search on _mazda rear led reflector install_ yielded a fair number of hits that might help.

Me, I'd remove the rear bumper, remove the reflectors, mount the LEDs, and probably splice them into the tail lights.

Left & Right rear wiring access points please
for
1. tail
2. brake
3. turn


Although I am considering changing 1 from tail to DRL thus always have my rear lit up.
This would likely result is a wiring run that would be fun.

The wires on the back of the lights look like they would benefit from the addition of a harness (RE: Canadian weather)

but seriously, Mr. Anchor - The man - any suggestions for access points for the wiring ?

Sorry folks. It’s been a bit mad lately with various things. WE have a special switch for those lights which I’ll show you and I’ll sort some wiring diagrams but I need an hour to get on and rummage through the Mazda website. I’m dead busy at work but I’ll try to get on before the end of next week.

By the way, it’s anchorman and anchorwoman! ;-)

Lights arrived, so I looked around and decided on a Curt wiring harness.
This is way over done but I like the idea of having the plug available for future use.
Likely easier to splice it in but everything else on my CX-3 has been done with a detailed finish.

Have not found an install video but I'm sure it's very similar to the CX-5

The front should also arrive this week.

Got these lights installed last year, holding up very well. No instructions so I had them professionally done.

The front LEDs are also turn signals, and the rear LEDs are just additional brake lights.

Sorry I don't have it, the shop technicians were literally on their phones googling what they could find out. They wired it up and tested as they did the install and I bet they don't remember what they did haha but I can recommend their shop: Next Mod
