I bought my CX3 on 10/27 after eyeing them since their announcement! Kind of funny, I was going through some old photos on my computer this past week and found where I had taken pics of the new 2016s at the dealership back in 2015! I got a 2018 Touring in that eye grabbing Red they've got. I was sad the discontinued the Dynamic Blue! But I had a 2014 Mazda3 Hatchback in the red and I looooved it, so I went back to what I knew I loved!
My only complaint is that I got on with the now "optional" arm rest, and I'm disappointed in the quality of the arm rest, the materials are very cheap feeling and the hinges on that are already noisy... otherwise, I'm loving the decision! Onward to ski season in Utah for the real tests!

Hi Deducki:

Congratulations on your new Mazda!

I bought a white Mazda 3 hatchback 2 years ago. I LOVED the car, but my left knee forced me to give up the clutch. A few weeks back, I went on Mazda's website to explore the CX-3. I was surprised that the Dynamic Blue was no longer available. I decided to see if I could find a leftover 2017. No go! I found a certified used car with 8,000 miles and snatched it up. I agree that the armrest isn't the best feature of the car, but otherwise, it seems to be just as solid and well built as my Mazda 3. Best of all, the controls of the 2 Mazdas are virtually identical.

Welcome aboard. My wife got the dark blue and loves it; my favorite is the "Soul Red" like you got, think that color is just tops! Enjoy, and yes the fit and finish on ours is great except for the flimsy arm rest... My only serious complaint is with the near useless armrest!!!

Don't like that armrest? Float test it!

HINT: Mine didn't ... then a particularly helpful member of this Forum sent me his "trinket tray" ... and I never looked back, literally.

The absence of the armrest gives me free, unrestricted elbow movement ... and if I really want an armrest, say on an extended trip, a folded pillow works great! Actually, a Zojirushi mug in the rearmost mugholder also serves admirably :)
