I fear you and I are both out of luck as I don't like an all black interior either though I do like it with some lighter contrasting color in the seats and door panels.
I had My CX-5 retrofitted after delivery with a light gray perforated leather on the seats and smooth on the door panels. Too bad workmanship was not up to factory standards and it cost 1300. Would not do it again.
The 3 can be had with light tan cloth seats and door panels and I think it looks great, but less than 10 percent of the 3s on the lot with cloth seats are equipped that way.
Mazdas obsession with using black on lower trim levels is a downer.
We will not know for certain that there will be no light colored cloth option in the U.S. till the brochures arrive, but as you say, there is nothing in other markets so I doubt there will be here.
