Does anyone know why if you replace the original air box in the 2019 mazda cx3 with a aftermarket one the car startes sputtering and goes into limp mode only allowing first and second gear to work. Vacuum line and maf sensor are connected

I thought the CAI didn't work on the 2019 specifically because there was some kind of difference in the MAF sensor? Someone on one of the FB groups sold their CorkSport short ram recently because of it (which is only listed up to 2018). Whose intake did you use?

I made my own with the maf sensor connection and vacuum line. I build many types of exhaust systems so I figured it would be similar to the O2 sensor in placement. I measured everything to place it in the same place as the original placement would I have to get the fuel air map tuned to make it work
