I bought the same Bose spare tire subwoofer but the wirng is different. It only have 4 wire out from the harness.
1) thick Blue with red, connecting to 2 orange wire from the internal amp, believe is +12V
2) thick Black, connecting to 2 black wire from internal amp, pretty sure it is ground
3) Brown thin wire, connecting to yellow signal cable from internal amp
4) yellow thin wire, connecting to purple signal cable from internal amp
If any users have experienced on Bose sub please provide some info on it
a) the external brown and yellow signal cable, please advice weather it is high level input (speaker in) or line level input (RCA)
b) I believed it is mono connection for +/- signal cable, as there are some forums suggested that the it produced weired bass. need to swap the purple and yellow internally to get correct polarity in order to produce solid bass.
c) some internal amp came with blue remote wire but this internal amp has no REM wire. Is that possible to add the REM wire to the connector (same circuit board) ad install external relay?
d) the non-bose HU have no REM out. However, there is one Antenna amplifier power supply that trigger power antenna. Can this wire serves as REM cable and can remotely turn on subwoofer internal amp from all types of input (ie not dedicated for radio/tuner only)
