So I have a Touring which doesn't come with auto-on/off headlights. This means it also doesn't have a functioning sensor on the dash for ambient light (I assume).

But what I have noticed is the "Auto" mode for the screen backlight does not work. If I turn it up during the day, it's too bright at night. If I turn it down at night, it's way too dim during the day.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is there something I'm doing wrong?

If you don't have an "auto" position on the headlight stalk, you can tick the auto headlight setting in the settings screen. That will dim the screen down when the headlights are switched on and vice versa. You can also set how much dimming will take place.

I figured it out, Anchorman. When the headlights are on, if you turn the instrument cluster brightness all the way up (beep) the "Auto" setting doesn't work. So I twisted it down one notch and then adjusted the desired brightness for the info screen and it works as you said.

Thanks!

Sorry, yes! You mean the panel lights.
