I have a query about replacing my battery in a UK spec Sport-Nav 150ps 2.0l Petrol AWD CX-3. The Mazda CX-3 manual and all the information I've read on i-Stop says you must use an EFB or AGM battery, (Enhanced Flooded Battery or Absorbed Glass Mat) and if you use a standard lead acid replacement it will fail in about a year and the warranty will be voided if you use it in a Stop-Start car.

I wanted to replace the battery myself rather than pay through the nose to a Mazda dealer, so I've looked online for a replacement EFB battery, but I can't find any that match the dimensions of my current battery, which is made by GS and is 235mm long 210mm high and 130mm wide. All the EFB batteries I can find are 170mm or more wide, which is far too wide fit in the battery compartment in my car, the length and height are okay, but not the width.

Has anyone else had this problem, if so how did you resolve it?
