I know we all love our CX-3's but come on be honest......

Roughly 10 lbs each would be a pretty good guess for the weight savings with manual seats. With weight savings, it isn't about any one item. It's about cutting as much weight as you can in every little area to achieve a cumulative weight reduction. With no MazdaSpeed version of the CX-3 it was probably at least as much about improving fuel economy as it was about making the care agile and nimble.

Glovebox locks don't have much point in my opinion. They aren't secure enough to keep anyone who wants what's inside out so it just results in more damage when someone pries it open. Then you have to replace whatever you wanted to protect and the glovebox and probably at least 1 or 2 dash pieces. Other people may have some use for them, but I can't imagine what that would be.

Ah that use makes sense. I can't say I've ever used valet parking and don't think I would ever willingly do so. I don't like handing my keys to someone I know and trust yet alone some random person. I'd rather walk several blocks to be able to park my own car. Luckily for me, there aren't many places that even offer valet parking where I live and most businesses have their own adequate parking right outside.
