I have had it 6 months and the fun factor wore off pretty quick... The car is small, and overall it has a cheap, plasticy feel to it, imho. The paint quality is absolutely the worse, too. :(

It's my mistake for getting into a car like this, as I have primarily owned rear-wheel-drive trucks, suvs and sport's cars, and I just can't get myself to like the feel of a front wheel drive. And it could use a little more power...

I am not trying to be a negative prick, so I'll list the positives - beautiful design, relatively functional despite being small, handles like a high end sports car, excellent transmission, and very cool looking interior!

It only has 1,100 miles on it and I have spent $5,000 plus on aftermarket stuff (most of that going to the audio), so I should be able to sell it for a good price... I hope! ;)

Here are some of the highlights:

Too bad ... after all that work :-(

I'm right at 1.5 years and enjoy it more each day. Perfect size for me ... and once I get my new Recaro installed, I'll be poring over your posts for soundproofing and moderate audio mods.

'Hope you find your perfect vehicle :)

Thank you!

For me, doing the work is the greatest joy in owning a car... I have no regrets regarding the work done to it and I hope the next owner appreciates and enjoys it! :)

I look forward to seeing the Recaro seat once you get it in!

Lol noooooo!
Will you go the way of the CX-5?
One thing is for sure, whomever buys it is going to be pretty pleased with the work you put into it :)

I do like the CX-5, but I am not sure if I can do another fwd and Mazda paint... :p

My previous was a 2016 Jeep Wrangler and my wife and daughter both think I should get another one...

Shame to see you move on. Have enjoyed your skills in audio setup.

Hope you find what you in a car next time.

I note all these comments re paint but mine has been good.

In Australia they come from a Japanese factory.

Is that the same for the US or are the built locally for you.

Thank you! I think ours are built overseas, too, but I'm not sure...

Nice vehicle for sure! I gave up my Jeep for fuel economy and it was just time. Perhaps stay the SUV trend and splurge for an Grang Cherokee SRT...drool.

Thanks! I was at a Jeep dealer a couple weeks ago and I checked out the GC Trackhawk... (drooooooooooool) A 707 horsepower soccer mom car?!?! I love it!

I hear ya on the fuel economy... This Mazda IS a very sensible car, but it seems I am not a sensible guy. Lol

Lol fair! It’s definitely the fun way to go. Then again, the BMW X2 that just came out does a fairly good job at 288hp. Interior is SO similar to the CX3. I believe it’s slightly bigger than a CX3 but not as big as the CX5. Nice car all around.

I just looked at pics of the X2 and it does look very nice...

It takes only one person ... where are you advertising it?

Also, trade-in on an X2?
Craigslist... Pretty sure I would get shafted if I tried trading it in. You are right though, I need to be patient for that one buyer who appreciates the car and what has gone into it.
The last few vehicles I sold were highly modified and sold for thousands over market and blue book value, because I waited (even months) to find that "one" buyer. Mind you, we always loose money when we buy, drive, modified and then sell vehicles, but that is the way this game works. :)

It's been listed for two months with hardly any interest... Only one guy came to see it and he was blown away by the sound system, but it was out of his budget. :(
Perhaps it's due to some 2017's, and 2018's still being readily available with the 2019's pushing those prices down a bit, all of which are brand new?
I still see deals going on for new 2017 GT's around for now.
Might just be a case of timing rather than no one wants one sadly.
