Hi guys,

especially the owners of a brand new CX3.

For more than one week I tried to figure out the height of the outside trunk lid, because of my low-rise underground garage.

Could anybody please please measure the outside (not inside!) trunk lid at its highest peak from ground floor.

Height of outside boot lid

I just measured mine. It is 2.05m from the floor and it looks like the lip is the highest point when fully opened. I have the 18 inch wheels - do not know if that changes the height.

Thank you very very much for your fast answer.
Than somebody hase to change/shorten the lifters of the trunk lid, because I only have 1.97m space. Hopefully somebody is able to do it.

Have already orderd the CX3.

Height of trunk lid

I wonder if you could glue something soft to the roof of the garage so that the truck lid is not damaged as it makes contact with the soft item. If feasible, it would be cheaper and simpler than fiddling with the struts.

Getting shorter struts might be a good way to go about it. I know for a fact that automotive stores like autozone and some independent shops carry universal struts.

If it was up to me i'd weight out my options there first.
