Quick "feel good" story I thought Id share with you guys:

When I was considering the CX3, I attended the AutoShow we have every year in Atlanta. I checked out the CX3 there, actually test drove it there (they have a small route you can take) and really liked it. They said if I was interested in the car, I could sign up and Id get a $250 coupon from Mazda I could use toward the price of the car. Cool! So I gave them my info.

I have done a similar thing in the past, with my wifes car, Subaru was doing the same thing; give your info at the show and get $250 coupon, good for 2 months toward price of new one.

I got the email from Mazda by the time I got home, sure enough $250 off. I then hem-haw'ed on getting a new car etc etc and took a few weeks to do more research and then it was about a week of negotiating with a dealer. I then told the dealer about the coupon and he said, oh that actually is expired. What! Sure enough the coupon had expired about a week earlier, appearently the Mazda coupon was only good for 10 days! Ouch.

Kinda bummed on that, I decided to email Mazda Customer Service and voice my complaint on the short expiration date on the coupon (do people really decide that quickly?). They emailed me back and said, while they cant do anything on the contract of the car (since that was a done deal), they COULD send me a $250 gift card I can use at any Mazda dealer for service or accessories! NICE! I was pleasantly surprised....now Im eyeing that rear bumper garnish/trim :D

Thanks for reading - just trying to spread some good cheer.

That's great to hear, you can get mudguards for your CX3 for free!

And yes, 10 days for expiry is for a coupon for vehicle purchase seems a bit short, but maybe they're THAT confident you'll want a Mazda

Actually they blend in perfectly with the car.
+1. IMHO they really should come pre-installed on the car by default, if not on all trim levels at least on Sport and GT trims. Here in Canada, the dealership charges just over CAD$250 for all 4 corners installed, which is such an insignificant increase in the total price of the car it would have gone unnoticed, but would have been really useful. This is, after all a utility vehicle.

A decade ago when I bought the RX-8, my GT came with paint matched mud guards pre-installed (along with spoiler) which I thought was superb.
