I thought I'd officially check in now that I'm a CX-3 owner. Last night I picked up my GT with i-Activesense. I had to order it as I wanted black with parchment and there were few on the West Coast, none in the Pacific NW.

The lease was near end on my 2013 BMW x135. The x1 drives like a beast with 300hp and M Sport package but the CX-3 is more than enough for my daily needs. I only drive 5k miles per year so I'm hoping to keep this CX-3 for many years (never leasing again). Although its my 18th car and 5th Mazda so who knows.

I'm no stranger to forums. I helped create MazdasNW and am still a moderator on the GTI forums. I hope to be of value to this community.

Thanks for reading!
Daniel

Congrats and welcome. We have a few things in common.

- Have owned 18+ cars in my life time
- Owned a few BMWs
- Was a moderator on a Pontiac GTP forum many years ago
- Also have a VW car in the family..although not a GTI.

Waiting for our (the wifes) GT in Ceramic Silver to be here any day now.

Looking forward to seeing some of your initial thoughts/reviews on the CX and possibly more pics. :D

You could nearly get away with rebadging the Mazda with the blue propellor. It really does look nice in black although it will be a task to keep it clean.

Very nice.

Wow so nice! Can't wait to get my car in GT Dynamic Blue with Black leather!

Did you have to special order since they didn't have your combo? How long of a wait was it?

Thanks, guys. I only buy black cars. Exception being my 2010 GTI (dark blue metallic - regretted it not being black). Thankfully I am garaged day and night so I don't have to park in the elements. The CX-3 is indeed, very BMW-like in some ways.

The wait was about 6 weeks and it came in earlier than expected.

Back from having the windows tinted. Much better IMO.

Today is my CX3's 2 month anniversary and I've put a whopping 600 miles on it during those 2 months

Disclaimer: I was on a 3 week trip to Asia the end of Oct so the miles are a bit lower than my average.

I have to say, I love this lil ute more and more every day. Its not perfect, but its darn near close!

I can't believe its been a year already! :) I've put on a whopping 4988 miles in the past 12 months which is about average for me.

This CX-3 is my 17th car and while I'd like a little more top end HP, its one of my favorite vehicles to date. I love all the gadgets and features. The interior is sharp and the design is really attractive.

All in all, its been mostly problem-free as I would expect with so few miles. I've had 2 oil changes, average 26.8 mpg and the only the only issues i've experienced are the auto headlights that turn on/off with less sensitivity than originally. I stream bluetooth almost always and it is inconsistent in picking it back up when resuming my trip. Both are minor gripes.

I share the same complaints around the lack of cockpit storage and wish the armrest didn't extend so far forward - accessing at least one cupholder with out obstruction would be nice.

No vehicle is perfect but for me this one is pretty darn close!!
