Hello from a new member who has been lurking in the background for awhile :)

I'm in the UK and have a fair amount of experience of working on different cars (car industry for 20 yrs)

We have a 17 plate CX3 that has decided to illuminate the Red key warning light
(This happened after the car had been stood for two weeks)

I replaced both the battery's in the two key fobs, but this wasn't successful

The car is still under manufacturers warranty and the main dealer has diagnosed a faulty drives door handle assembly

I've read about this fault affecting American CX3's and CX5's but hadn't realised that this might also be a Europeans spec CX3 issue?

Just wandered if anybody else had suffered something similar?

The car starts fine its just the red key indicator light that comes on after about 2 mins and then stays on

Sad thing is the handle assembly apparently has to come from Japan and the local dealer tells me it takes a month to come :(

Be interested in anyone had had a similar issue ?

Thanks

Hi Squirreltech1
This is EXACTLY what has happened to my Dad's car. He hasn't been well so hasn't driven for a few weeks- not looks like we have to drive it to be serviced for the day!!! What did you end up doing to solve it? :) Bronte
