Does anyone know what else these 4 copper points do?
If I install a steering wheel that does not have them, pressing to horn doesn’t work. So that would be an obvious function that they complete the connection, when pressed, thus engaging the horn.
However, the contact points to the copper points are mounted on the back of the airbag module.
the question is, does this also have anything to do with the function of the airbag? Or is it just for the horn as we need to press the whole module to sound the horn?
Since the points are located on the plastic away from the actual airbag unit, I’m tending to lean towards horn function only. Just would like confirmation. Thanks!!
