Car and Driver has reaffirmed what we all knew, the Mazda CX-3 is the best vehicle in the subcompact crossover CUV segment, a segment that is growing quite quickly. It beat out some notable contenders (and others that are at the bottom of the list for a reason.) Ultimately, the CX-3 bests all of its rivals. Here is why according to Car and Driver:

The CX-3 is a fun and feisty runabout with a can-do attitude, offering taut handling paired with edgy styling. A 146-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder and a six-speed automatic with front-wheel drive provide the zoom-zoom; all-wheel drive is optional.

The CX-3 relies on its sport-tuned suspension and creative weight-saving measures to maintain Mazda’s unique brand of driving pleasure. The cabin is equally well designed, featuring high-quality materials and modern driving aids.
Here is the full list:

2. Nissan Juke
3. Jeep Renegade
4. Fiat 500X
5. Honda HR-V
6. Chevrolet Trax
7. Buick Encore
8. Mini Cooper Paceman

Yahoo Autos also gave it their 2016 Savvy Ride of the Year, and it was one of three finalists for their overall Ride of the Year but lost out to the far more expensive Volvo XC90.

With a $50,795 MSRP price tag, no wonder the Volvo XC90 won. They had a bigger budget for all the trimmings. The Mazda CX-3 is a amazing vehicle for it price point and segment.
