HEY GUYS!
I signed up for my GF. She just purchased her FIRST NEW CAR a 2017 MAZDA CX-3 TOURING on June 15, 2017. We traded in her 2002 Infiniti I35 with over 190,xxx miles. It was a bittersweet goodbye for her. But now we're on to new adventures. I think it's perfect for her since she commutes to Santa Cruz, CA for one of her jobs.

Just here to show progress pics to anyone interested and learn just about as much as I can since this is going to be our first Mazda. **Sorry for the crappy pics..All pics taken with an iPhone6S**

Here she is straight from the dealer: (She went with Ceramic Metallic?)

Saying goodbye to her old 2002 Infiniti I35 :(

On June 21st, took the car in for some tints. Went with 35% up front and 18% out rear.

June 27th, WeatherTech floor liners came in woooo! Just got the fronts. Fitment is superb! Part # 448481. I got a set in my truck also.

Passenger side:

Currently waiting on interior LEDs and license plate LEDs. I'll try to remember to post pics of the 55watt 5000k H11 HID kit and LED reverse later tonight if I don't forget haha.

Nice. She'll soon forget about the Infinity when she gets going in the CX-3.

There are plenty of PDFs in the tech section if you want to get more familiar with the car. Ask if you need anything extra.

It was a good car. It got her through nursing school and long commutes to work and back. But she's really loving the CX-3 day by day! I originally wanted her to get the Mazda 3 but I told her to choose what she saw herself in more.

One sure improvement will be the crash worthiness. If you watch YouTube, they bounce them off walls and rarely crack the windshield. Plus all the other bang up to date safety features.

June 29th, installed the interior LEDs and license plate LEDs just a couple of minutes ago. Didn't want to go too bright for the license plate LEDs so I went with singles.

Here's a comparison during the day:

When it gets dark I'll try to get some shots of the 55w 5000k HID kit I installed last week, the LED reverse, LED license plate, and more shots of the interior. It's my day off tomorrow so I can stay up a little later than usual haha :)

In the meantime here's a pic of where I mounted the ballast: **Ballast are being held by 3M double sided tape instead of the cheap ones supplied with the kit**

This has got to be the easiest vehicle to replace headlight bulbs. Literally took me less than 15 mins to install the HID kit. Well done Mazda! :)

**I should've backed up more when I took this pic. I'm parked close to the garage door. Not a great pic for showing the cutoff..:(

July 7th,
Quick update!
Some future mods I want to do:
- Replace the 8mm hex key style drain plug at next oil change. I'm thinking of going Cman's route and purchasing a magnetic drain plug, a traditional OEM one, or a Fumoto style.
- Change out that wimpy horn.. I used it for the first time yesterday at the light behind some traffic where some young teenage girl was texting the whole time making us miss the light...

Also had to reorder two of my favorite detail products that I use oh so often :)

**I use the 303 Protectant for the interior and all the exterior molding.
**I use the Meguiars D156 aka X-Press Spray wax for pretty much the whole exterior of all my vehicles. Safe for trim, glass, and plastics. Keep in mind this does not replace a proper good ol' fashion wax job.
