I just received some brand new front and rear brake pads from Mazda Swag and one of the front pads arrived cracked. What do you all think? Contact them and return it? This is for my 2016 CX-3 AWD.
That thing is garbage, send it back immediately!
Brake pads are not usually very expensive and personally, I would never buy them online. There are plenty of reputable auto parts stores, not to mention Mazda dealers where you can have a good look at them before you walk out the door.
I called my local Mazda Dealership in Canada and was quoted:
Front Rotor $121 each
Front Brake Pad $209 each
Rear Rotor $124 each
Rear Brake Pad $162 each
This excludes tax... And seems very high to me. I thought Brake Pads were like $40... But I guess all the extra hardware like the retention clips adds up.
