Someone made mention that the brake lights on my wife's 2017 CX-3 were not working.

Upon checking the upper third brake light and the clear lower lights on both sides activate.

Is this normal or should there be two red lower lights activating when the pedal is depressed.

Note this applies only to the bulb versions. The clear lights on the tailgate are the reverse lights and should illuminate white when the car is in reverse. The clear lens in the center of the main body mounted tail light assembly is the turn signal and should flash amber when the turn signals are engaged. The tail light itself is the brake light bulb as well, it's dual filament. It will light up when the brakes are applied or, if the lights of the vehicle are already on, they will light up brighter when the brakes are applied. There are two reflectors mounted in the rear bumper that could be replaced with LEDs and those can be wired all kinds of ways.
