Android Auto is not working with V74

Hello everyone,

Is there anyone who can help me?

Thanks to a fellow member here on the forum I was able to update my firmware to version 74.00.32A. Everything went well and there were no problems. I also did a factory reset afterwards.

It turns out that android auto is not working. I also can't find it under applications in the mazda firmware. It's not due to my phone because my AA from my phone works fine with other cars. Then I thought it was the hardware (USB hub) that I needed to replace but I read on other forums that this update is mainly needed for Apple Car Play and that this only should provide more power to the phone (I already have 2 USB ports in my car with AUX port). My car does recognize my phone when I connect it and I can indicate 'file sharing/AA' on my phone. However, I can't reach AA anywhere in my car itself.

Does anyone have advice?

Thanks in advance!!

Check out the points 1 & 2 on the post from WebDevDan on this thread CX-3 Apple CarPlay/Android Auto retrofit. It summarises the situation better than I could.

Note - I'm led to believe that if you have got a correct hub unit with the phone icon against one of the USB slots and it was installed before the infotainment was updated to version 74.00.32A (or maybe an earlier 70.xx.xxx or later version had been installed?), then it won't work and you'll need search this site for potential information.
