Hi Everyone
I have a problem with the Air Conditioner in my 2016 CX-3. I can get the air conditioner to work if I bypass the relay but if I stop the car for any longer than 20 minutes the air con won’t work(compressor clutch won’t engage) unless we start it by bypassing the relay again, less than 20 minutes and the air con will work. Have had it serviced, regassed and a new genuine pressure switch fitted. Scanned and tested all sensors and operating as per specs.
Has anyone had a similar issue?

Yep. 2016 cx3 here. My leak ended up being the condenser if I'm not mistaken. Replaced it after putting dye and seeing with UV light. Other thing I replaced (though presumably not the issue) was the sensor that clips into the heater core. Once fixed all works again.

What does "stop the car" mean exactly - engine off? Stand still and engine running?
Bypassing the relay means you're working around some of the sensors/switches, not always a good thing.

My info with the HVAC (also replaced the condenser due to damage not factory fault:
Clutch is not always on, its comes on as needed and goes off when not, so sensor/temp & pressure settings.
When it's on, the engine rev drops slightly, when it goes off the engine rev increase slightly.
Stop/start will not engage if AC is running, and the AC clutch wont engage if engine is not running.

You will not hear the AC clutch cycling if there is an issue with the pressure (leak) in the system.
As mentioned I replaced mine due to damage (leak), started with a slow leak, nothing re-gassing didn't solve. But worsened over time, best to inspect with UV light. Or it may just be an electrical issue that needs cleaning.

HI mate,
Can you elaborate how you changed the sensor that clips into the heater core as such.
