Installed Dash & Rear Cam - Not using Mazda Screen

Hi Fellow Mazda Drivers,

Finally got around to installing and taking some photos of my DIY.
Camera is from Amazon. It was just prefference to have it all on a separate screen, as I like to have things independent. Hard wired it to the passenger-side fuse box (accessory fuse, using a fuse tap so the accessory socket still works fine), connected an inline fuse as well going to the camera, and also a voltage monitor (turns camera off when the car battery reaches a certain level) as the camera has a motion and parking monitor mode when vehicle is parked.

Credit to:
Anchorman, for the post about how to remove the different linings on the Cx-3, for the wiring and ideas.

I was surprised to learn a few things.
Remember, you are also recording yourself.

It appears I am an expert at how others drive, and also very adept at verbally using creative descriptors related to their skill levels.

Both a tool and a toy, hope you enjoy!!!

Hi Dean,

This version of camera, only records the rear camera (reverse mode or wile driving) and forward (dash camera). There is no internal driver mode.
The image shown is just picture in picture (with the small image being the rear). It has different modes, split screen, picture in picture, single image.
Sorry, I should have linked it initially.

Looks good, just be sure to check the saved files every other month in case the camera glitches/doesnt save properly. This isnt a problem when its new but 6-8 months down the line anything with an internal battery (by the looks of it yours has a 400mah) the battery will be dead over time mainly because of temp changes as is the case with all battery dash cams. The reason why this is an issue is the save procedure just before shutting down is reliant on the battery power to finalize the file segment and then close off. This is a problem if the battery cant last more than 2 seconds later on and then corrupts the micro sd card on all future recordings. I dont want to be the bearer of bad news but just something to look out for with dash cams that have internal batteries since theres no indication that the files arent saving as they should be.
