A friend of mine is a parts guru for Mazda and Toyota. Apparently, Toyota makes rubber door seals that fill the gap between the front and rear doors. It keeps the dust and road grime from getting into the door jambs, which are a paint to clean. After some quick measuring and discussion, he sent me these parts and I installed in about 20 minutes.
They are very easy to put on. There is some double-sided tape up and down the entire rubber strip that sticks to the 'lip' on the door skin. The top part has a tab that tucks underneath the moulding.
I got them, but I have a few questions.I can't get them to fit properly. Will I need to cut them? How do I attach the top part? I can see clearly on your picture.
Yes, just cut them to the length of the door once you get the top part mounted correctly and in place.
