Finally put on a proper set of tires :)

What a difference! Tread noise is minimal, and the bump absorption and ride quality is fantastic, night and day difference from the stock tires. Ride is so smooth now that unless I hit a very rough patch of pavement, there's almost zero rattling and squeaking inside the car! The tire is slightly thicker than stock, which looks nicer in my opinion.

I'm happy I was able to get such a huge improvement in ride quality without having to buy smaller wheels.

Yeah I got Continental TrueContact in size 225/50R18, they're very well regarded tires.

Greaseman we have the same color. Are our stock tires also R18? I forget.

Also what would happen if you lowered your car like 1 inch?

It's a nice color, especially in sunlight. I hadn't washed the car though when I took that picture so it looks a little dirty thanks to all the rain and thunderstorms this week.

Yes if you have the GT it is 18. The stock tires are 215/50R18. I think if you're thinking about lowering the car 1-inch, this tire may be a little too big, in that case you may wanna go with 225/45R18 which is a little smaller than the stock tires. Hopefully someone else around here that knows more about this can chime in. I think @Silman lowered his car so he should know.

I have 19 inch, 40 series tyres which are very near to OEM rolling diameter and there's plenty of room between the tyre and the inner guards (yes i'm lowered on eibach's around 1 inch drop)

As daft as it sounds, they look good too. Tyres have definitely become a fashion accessory.

I think the Touring comes with 16-inch wheels, if you look on one of the tires it will tell you what size it is. Check out Silman's build thread (in his signature), he has some nice pics of his lowered car.
