215/60/R17 ...Will it fit?

Scored a cheap set of Mazda wheels with snow tires on them, but the tire size is 215-60R17. Will they fit? I have my doubts, but not a biggie if they dont. The wheels were cheap. Ill just get a new set of snow tires. Anyone know?

The 60-series will be about half an inch taller. There's quite a bit of space under the fenders and I'd bet it would fit, assuming the offset and backspacing of the wheels isn't too different.

They are Mazda wheels, not sure what model they came off of, but the seller said they were last used on an MPV. They are 17x7.5, 5x114.3, with a 50 offset....so they are pretty close to the CX-3 wheel specs, yea?

Yah, pretty close. As long they didn't go crazy on the hub bore diameter for some reason, it will probably work.

If you're going to replace the tires, 215 55s would be the size you're looking for I think. The diameter is only 0.6% larger than the OE 16" according to the online calculator.

So, just for reference... our 2019 CX-3 has the 215/50/18 size tires and wheels, and when plugged into the tire size comparison calculatior with the 215/60R17 tires, this is what the difference looks like...do the difference percentages look ok? We can live with the slightly off speedometer.

Your attachment is a thumbnail for ants...

Doing the math myself I came up with 215/60-17 being 2.6% larger. That shouldn't be a problem (at 100 mph indicated you'll be doing 102.6 mph).

Ideally, you want to keep the new size within 3% of the original size.
