New Wheels and tires

So as I LOVE deal and really not a fan of the silver wheels...
So I know a guy locally bought this set for a Mazda 3 but had not installed them yet....in his words the car had a meeting with an immovable object before he got everything mounted...
He has a set of 4 17" OE gunmetal wheels that look the same as the wheels that come on the car and 4 BF Goodrich Advantage TA Sport tires in 225/ 55r17....2 tires are mounted 2 are not...
The price he is asking for everything is 700....it looks / sounds like a great bolt on swap....
My only question is the tire size will they fit/just bolt on?? I believe that tire is like .5" taller and a little wider than the stock 16...is that going to be an issue??

I have that size tire and it fits just fine, but it does cause the car to go one MPH faster than the speedometer indicates.

As far as the wheels, 2013 to 2018 Mazda 3 wheels have the same bolt pattern, bore size, so they should just bolt on.

Thanks for the reply Jroper it looks like they fill the wheel well much better than the 16" It seems you would retain ride quality due to the large sideway as compared to the 18" OE wheels ? So no issues lock to lock turning or driving ....that's awesome now I need to see if I can make that deal happen

drkjed,

I found the ride to be slightly firmer but not harsh, well worth the look and grip of the wider tire.
No issues at all driving, turning lock to lock and I doubt you will have any trouble either because the Mazda3 wheels even have the same offset as the stock 16" and 18" CX-3 wheels.

Post a pic if you get them.

AS they say things that are too good to be true usually are....
So I went to pickup the wheels and tires and is was a hot mess...the wheels were OE 17" not gunmetal but plastidipped...while not a bad thing it was a poor job to say the least and not good at hiding the curb rash...Tires were indeed new and as stated but he wouldn't part with them alone as I had no real interest in the wheels now... So back to square one...I am guessing ill just hit the factory wheels with the anthracite grey kit from dip your car and keep looking for some wheels

Check out TireRack. I'd bet you'll find something you like with better tires at a similar price point.
