Tire size and calibration

I own a 2017 CX3 GT with the 215-50-18 tires. A set of winter tires and rims came with the car from the dealer. 215-60-16. There is a difference of 1.1% between the two. My question is which one would be calibrated for the car. Is the GT calibrated to a difference value than the GS and GX?
Thanks

The difference is minimal.
If you consider allowable error rate and simple tire wear , who knows what the closest calibration may be ?

Even different brand/model of tires of the same size can vary by more than that. Also, many (most?) manufacturers build a little bit of optimism into their speedo readings. I haven't found one yet that doesn't read 1-2 mph faster at highway speeds than actual.

As long as your tires are ±3% you'll be fine.

I agree with everything stated. I am more curious than anything . I assumed with companies deliberately making speed read faster than actual, that can be somewhat corrected by going to perhaps a 225-50-18 tire.
I'm an Engineer and by nature. Things such as calibration specs interest me. My wife hates my attention to detail but I think she likes the money more. HaHa!

Assuming the GT was calibrated to the 18"

with the 16" tires the speedometer would read

70 miles per hour

the actual speed would be 69.2 miles per hour

Did I do the math ?

no, I trusted this to be correct

I like the comparison and speedometer error features

You're fine running that 16" wheel/tire setup on your GT no issues.

I run that winter setup on the GS but I did a 17" setup for summer driving.

The speedo correction is less than 0.4% so almost exactly like stock.
