Tires and ground clearance
I'm tragically ignorant of car mechanics, so any advice is appreciated. I have a 2016 CX-3 (it's my first-ever car!) and I absolutely love it, but I'm pretty short and find it frustrating to feel so low to the ground when I'm driving. I live in a place that gets a lot of snow, and I'm finding the ground clearance to be somewhat of an issue when I drive.
This might be dumb, but I thought an easy way to add a bit of height to the car would be to get slightly bigger wheels. Nothing crazy, just enough so the front bumper isn't scraping over parking barriers or snow on unplowed streets.
Is that a terrible idea? Does it mess with the internal mechanics of the car, or is it ok?
TL;DR: 2016 CX-3 AWD Touring ground clearance is too low, can I make it a bit higher with bigger wheels or am I being a moron?
