Actually in my experience, Octogenarians tend not to complain about their own decreasing logic and skills, but the decrease of such skills that we see in others (particularly politicians and others making the decisions around here! )

This is hitting even some cars up to 2017 since they have the same exact part number that was found to be faulty and like with all recalls they do a set amount at a time so everyone is not rushing for repairs at once :/
Not the first time, actually. in 2012 my Forester had to have the head gasket replaced. It fortunately was done under warranty after I wrote a few letters to a few auto tech periodicals complaining that they were going to charge me $1200 for the job. Miraculously Subaru Canada suddenly had a change of heart and decided to allow head gasket replacements under warranty. Those head gaskets have always been a weak point on the 2.5 boxer engine.

Bottom Line: The latest version of the 3 has a lot going for it, but not nearly enough to move me away from my CX-3.

Maybe the 2020 CX-3? :-)
