I'm not sure why Hyundai wouldn't sell this Creta vehicle in the US. The segment is so popular right now. If they belive in the product, why not enter it into the most competitive market and segment. Get a piece of that pie!

Sounds like little more then Hyundais KIA Soul... Not sure if they would benefit from badge engineering the car for the US market, unless there is a marked distinction in terms of luxury or something...

Where are you reading that it's exactly like the Soul? To me this sounds like a new vehicle.

Might be based on the soul's platform but I think it would be best if it plays into the segment the CX-3 and HRV sit in, taking on the same styling and all.

Do you not think that is the same segment that the Soul is a part of?

The Soul might be in the same segment, but it isn't styled like the rest of the segment. I think the Creta would be styled in a way that would play along with the others in the segment instead of being very different in terms of body style.

good point

it can be said they will serve similar needs

unless this is destined to replace the soul or something.

Just thought that I would post up these photos of some sketches and the concept for easy reference.

The concept looks really cool. Very forward looking. Not really like the Soul though. Being that they are from different brands too, I'm sure they could coexist. I think the production model will be quite a bit more boring and run of the mill though.
