Newby from UK.

Hi every one, new member from Bicester, Oxfordshire UK, traded in our CX5 for 2018 GT CX3, put a couple of hundred miles on it, awesome, but hit first snag, tailgate electronics failed, so into rear area, remove panel and open manually, going in next Thursday for warranty repair, hope doesn't bode bad for the future, been a Mazda man since 2007, Mk1/2/3 MX5's still competing in sprints & hill climbing with a 2017 RF, will let you all know how it gets on, rgds, Paul H.

Welcome! Impressive! Hill climbing a Miata! Google indicates hill climbing is quite popular in Britain.

Faulty trunk release ... no doubt you've seen the UK cx3forums thread on this issue.

Garage
I think that was a paint issue. CX-3s are normally pretty bullet proof out of the box. Has it had any accessories fitted?

Currently CX5 SportNav 2.2 diesel automatic and AWD.
Formerly CX3 SportNav 1.5 diesel automatic and AWD.

I believe the article indicated it was a paint issue ... strange. Did the dealer specify the problem ... a fuse?

Maybe it was insulted ... shorted its circuits, preferred to be called a boot? ;-)
