Newbie - How reliable

Hi Folks,
I'm in the market to replace my daughters Ford Focus. We have two Mazda's a 98 MPV and a 2010 Mazda 6, both have been excellent vehicles. What are we looking at in terms of reliability issues with the CX3? All info gratefully received.
BTW...if you are ever tempted by a Ford Focus Automatic, go on to the Focus Fanatics website to read about the many tales of woe around the gearbox. Totally disgusting what that company has done to its customers by way of releasing a product with major design flaws.

Faint comparison, and I can't really speak to reliability ... but overall quality appears better than the Hondas I've owned.

I would say browse the technical sections of this forum, then www.mazdas247.com, and maybe www.cx3forums.co.uk. You could also compare the CX-3 TSBs with other makes and models you're considering.
Then finally, post here what you found

2017 CX-3 GT, AWD, i-ActiveSense, Ceramic Metallic, Black ... His: Zoom, Zoom!
2016 HR-V EX-L, AWD, Milano Red, Black ... Hers: Putt, Putt.

Ha! ok. Sounds good. I was mainly interested in vital organ failures, anything that could leave my kid stranded. The two Mazdas we have, the Mazda 6 has 106K miles and has had headlight bulbs replaced, the 98 MPV has 136K miles and has had a fuel sender unit and window switch replaced. If I can get anywhere close to that on the CX3 I will be well pleased.

If you don't like the two search options on the upper right ... use google, with all its options, beginning with site:cx3forum.com

2017 CX-3 GT, AWD, i-ActiveSense, Ceramic Metallic, Black ... His: Zoom, Zoom!
2016 HR-V EX-L, AWD, Milano Red, Black ... Hers: Putt, Putt.
