Hello from Dallas

Hi everyone, new CX-3 owner here. Decided to 'grow up' a little and traded my Focus ST for this beauty. Love it so far. This is my 3rd Mazda. Had a 2004 3i and a 2006 Mazdaspeed 6. I like Mazda's way of doing things, despite the number of times the Speed 6 visited the service department.

The Toyota C-HR is actually responsible for getting me interested in these raised-up car crossovers, but their lack of optional equipment sent me running to the Mazda dealership. I gotta tell ya, a Grand Touring AWD in Ceramic is a hard car to find in the south. I finally just ended up flying to Kansas City and driving this one home. A big shout-out to the friendly folks at Eddy's Mazda of Lee's Summit.

Not finding a lot of aftermarket goodies for this car. Hood struts were my first order of business, and Redline Tuning isn't making them (yet), so if you guys have any tips, please pass them on!

It was a very fun car, but to be honest....I'm finally tired of shifting after driving almost exclusively manual-equipped cars. I just started a new job, which drastically changed my commute to a lot more stop and go, and heavy rush hour traffic. The automatic has been a welcome change.

Getting my windows tinted & clear bra installed on Saturday. Can't wait. I feel like I'm driving around in a fish bowl.

I had a Saturn ion redline that was supercharged and had 195 hp at the wheels and it was quick and fun to drive but I did get tired of shifting and every young fellow at a red light wanted to race me.

I have also been wanting hood struts. I have seen some on ebay from Russia but some reviews stated that quality was hit or miss and that they weighed alot. I have been waiting to see reviews on the ones from Amazda Online before buying them, their very expensive.

Check out this post - there's the ebay ones you refer to, so cheaper is available, but..........
