Talking just bought a CX3!

hi guys.

just wanted to share some excitement.

put my deposit down for a 2017 CX-3. only waiting to see it again with my gf tmr and decide on colour.

2017 CX-3 GT w/ Tech pkg
added moonroof + window visors/deflectors too

i'm coming from a 1990 Nissan Skyline, 2002 BMW M3 & 2015 Toyota Corolla..
so you can notice that i wanted a mix of sport and sensibility.

i'm set on White colour but Grey is nice too.

wanted to see what owner's thoughts are.. any tips would be appreciated.
also would like to know what everyone's fuel economy too.

thanks in advance glad to be here.. first Mazda!

Welcome to the club

I think you'll be very happy with your choice. If you browse around these forums you'll find many great tips on your new toy, too many to list here for sure.

Personally my fuel economy has been excellent so far with a 33.6 average on mainly country roads. I should mention I'm a former Prius owner so YMMV.

tyty

my selection process involved me going through quite the range of vehicles.. because of price and fuel economy, i narrowed my choices to the Prius and the CX-3, though incomparable. fuel economy was key but i simply just felt better driving the CX-3.

Yet another former Prius owner here ... compared with which the CX-3 is zoom, zoom ... fun, fun!

Ceramic Metallic ... grey ghost! Not as flashy as the (extra cost) white.

P.S What is a "gf tmr"? Something akin to a SWMBO?
P.P.S. Betraying my age ... per google, girlfriend tomorrow.

2017 CX-3 GT, AWD, i-ActiveSense, Ceramic Metallic, Black ... His: Zoom, Zoom!
2016 HR-V EX-L, AWD, Milano Red, Black ... Hers: Putt, Putt.

Wow! I would say you definitely went through a range of cars if you even test drove a Prius! I owned both a second and third generation Prius and enjoyed the 'fuel economy game' for many years. However it's definitely in no way a fun car to drive...not sure I could ever go back now that I've owned a couple of crossovers since. Although the Prius Prime was tempting, just not economical to initially buy

Again, I think you made a great choice, the fuel economy has been great for me and it's definitely a sweet looking and fun to drive car.
