CX-3 Factory dash storage slot

I just saw this on Minkara -

Do any members outside of Japan have this slot where the blue bottle is?

It looks very much like a CX-5 to me.

Currently CX5 SportNav 2.2 diesel automatic and AWD.
Formerly CX3 SportNav 1.5 diesel automatic and AWD.

Spot on. There is a photo in the Aussie CX-5 brochure that shows the cubby hole.

ahh yes. Just looking at the door handle puller area tells that. The owner had talked on Minkara about exchanging the control panel from CX5 to a CX3 for the fold in mirrors.

it's not bad I guess, my RX8 has a similar coins compartment though rarely used

However, it seems (in my opinion) a lot of effort and high cost for a little compartment that really doesn't hold all that much. But hey if you got the extra cash and got time to kill then go for it!
