Automatic gear knob removal

Does anyone have the workshop diagram/instructions for how to remove the automatic gear knob?. I want to replace the gearboot and to do this, the gearknob has to be removed.

Just to add to this, here is the button off. I released mine with a watch mender screwdriver;

...and once off, you can see the clip;

Mind when you pull her - she flies! This is it located on the stick;

So when putting it back, position it correctly in the shift know and snap it down;

I've just completed the removal of this shifter and wondered, why did you remove yours? was it just to show people how it's done or have you replaced your gearknob/gearboot?

I did it just for you ;-)

Please donít enquire out of curiosity how the pistons come out or anchorwoman is gonna get really pissed with me!!!

Actually, I did it when I fitted the armrest as the instructions called for it but in fact it didnít need it. I took the photos at that time and remember thinking that they would come in one day.

LOL I installed the arm rest as well and would have to say I can't remember that part being required though yes it would be a complete waste of time removing it!
