Steering Column Covers

Was after some guide on the removal of the steering column covers.

Removed the 2 screws from below and the cover separates easily.

Top cover lifts up and is just connected by the vinyl trim that covers things when your using telescopic wheel etc.

Bottom over seems to be held in place by a multi part clip in middle.

Any clues on how to disengage that clip without damaging things would be appreciated.

I found this reference from CX5 forum to instructions - but can't find the referenced info

"2. Remove the upper column cover according to the MS3 online instructions or the Workshop Manual (section 09-17 COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)."

Found it in 2016 CX5 docs

Looks like you slide the part forward to release

Thanks Anchorman

I am actually temped to pay the $19.90 US to get 24 hours access to the US service site and have a look at the full service manual to see if its worth buying in total.
