Cannot unlock the liftgate. Any suggestions?

Hello,
I was wondering what the best and easiest way to fix this ongoing issue would be. For some reason I cannot unlock the trunk (liftgate) with the keys close by. I also tried unlocking the car from the inside.
I read many treads but they're very confusing. I cannot understand how a 2018 vehicle has no other way to open the trunk. Keyless system is far from perfect.
Any suggestion will be appreciated.
Thank you.

If its 2018 I would assume its covered under warranty, Take it back to your local dealer and get them to properly fix it

Mods
Lowered 2" on Corksport springs

Are you pressing the correct button out of the two that are under the tailgate lip? The one on the right locks the vehicle. The one in the middle opens the tailgate.

I will try to find the second button. I had read that before but yesterday I couldn't locate it.
Thank you for the suggestion, hope it works :-)

Too funny. I thought I was the only one that didn't know about the 2nd button (useless if you ask me).
I'm glad this forum is so helpful. I was ready to take the car back to the dealer which is not very close.
Take care.

I didn’t know there was a second button. Hmmm I’ll have to look again. Is it on the 2019 model?

I would think so. Just look under the lift gate. One is very close to the license plates, and the other one that locks the doors to the far right. Good luck.
